THE ROLLERCOASTER OF A MUSICAL PRODUCTION - THE FINALE: SHOW DAY(S)

WELCOME TO MUSICAL THEATER!

In this piece, more or less, we want to help bring you closer to the preparation process behind a musical production - the process that both challenges and inspires us. These notes are based on our current knowledge, personal events and projections. They are not coming from a place of any particularly elevated experience and instead merely strive to amplify interests. If you have any thoughts, we’d love to chat! Now, let’s dive in!

THE FINALE: SHOW DAY(S)

SCENE 1: OPENING NIGHT

The day has come. Every sweat, skipped meal, extended meeting, all nighter, teary fit, team huddle, messy floor, everything, that you have been hustling towards, is for today. So take a deep breath. Eat breakfast, lunch and even early dinner. Drink lots of water. Scan your lists twice. Check the sound, the lighting, the racks. Dress your best, because you deserve to. Then peak out from behind that curtain, we know who want to. And watch.

Watch as the audience scatter to your seats, brochures in hand, excitement all around. Watch as your crew warms up their vocals, straightens their backs and take their places. Watch it all come to together. Take it all in.

Today, the stage is yours. Break a leg!

SCENE 2: CURTAIN CALL

You did it. You really did it. Now, go celebrate…….or sleep, yeah go sleep.

Congratulations.
